I love this book! I have listened to the audio CD at least 20 times. I find this book very uplifting and empowering. The author discusses, among other issues, the inverse relationship between self esteem and ego. For me, this book serves as a reminder that I am in charge of, and responsible for my own life ( and who couldn't use a little reminder now and again?). It is not too deep or overly complicated. It's just perfect for my commute to and from work. I shall enjoy this book for years to come.Product details

If you have listened to other motivation/spiritual books then you will love this. I've listened to Wayne dyer. John Cabot zinn etc and I picked this up and loved it.
Excellent advice. Not for someone suffering from a serious ailment, but an excellent source of insight for the other 95 per cent of us.

My cd keeps skipping on certain chapters and this is my second replacement
I HIGHLY recommend this book to everyone! The concepts are well written and simple to read and understand, yet profound. I used it to teach a 4 week study, and everyone loved it.
I usually complain that books are too long because I want to read one book a day and some books take me two to three days. This book however was way too short. Just as I got into reading this book it seemed to end. I literally felt as if this book was written especially for me. I've rarely felt that way about a book. David J. Liberman touched on all the issues currently happening in my life and made it abundantly clear that I am causing my own reality. He encourages readers to rise about their nature to live more happy lives. At times it is a tough love type of approach but it does get your attention. The only thing I didn't agree with was his declaration that it "is not possible for one human being to create an emotion in another human being." In this I feel he is incorrect. But otherwise he makes his points succinctly and makes complete sense. For the most part I found this book calming and logical. If you are struggling with self-esteem issues or relationship problems this book offers some solace.

This book is my favorite self-help book. Using science and religion, the author explains why and how we get stuck in bad behaviors and how those behaviors change the way we see the world. If you are a person who can't handle stressful/sad situations as well as others, this is the book for you. It explains why some people can handle bad situations better...and how you can become one of those people. It teaches you how to not let the actions of others (rudeness, etc) change the way you feel about yourself.
