While the story is good, this e-book needed some proofreading before it was published. I understand that today's technology allows for more and more self-published e-books; however, authors need to be proactive in having the book edited and proofread prior to publishing.The story provided pleasant, light reading. The author did an admirable job creating the setting, developing characters, and following through with several themes, especially considering the brevity of the book. The spelling errors and misuse of words were distracting. Lack of punctuation in several places was a little bothersome. I hope this author continues to work on her craft as she has much potential.

In this story Mae, the main character, finds out just how important family is. When Mae left home to go to college, she wanted out of her small town and away from the people. Now Coming back to her hometown, as an adult, she is able to see, with her Gran's and God's help, how good she had it growing up.
I loved this, although I admit it was a little bit cliche. The only bad part was either misspelled words or words improperly used in sentences. So, although I'd gladly reccomend this book to others, please keep this in mind when reading it.
I didn't like the green background for the words. Going home is never easy but sometimes things work out Enjoyed the char.
Marcy Nell Hanson, has written in her book, "Fearfully Made" , an sweet romance and about the difficult choices of life. I enjoyed reading this book, some of it made me smile, some cause me to cry, and then the difficult parts caused my heart to break.
I did love this book. The storyline was beautiful though some characters could have been developed a bit more. The editing and spelling were pretty bad. Not bad enough to not finish this beautiful story but enough to note on many pages. Tighten up the editing and spelling, delve a bit deeper, and it would have been 5 stars!
I was easily drawn in this book by the easy dialogue of the central character - even while the situation she is facing is a heavy one. Anyone that grew up in a small town and left or wanted to leave will immediately connect with the struggles she faces as well as those characters that every small town seems to have. However the author touches on some very deep issues with a slant that is not often talked about and she brings a depth to her characters that drew me in completely and had me thinking about these very real, very difficult situations. Even if you predict the outcome of the book, you won't be disappointed with the way the author brings it about! Solid writing and a great read! Chick-lit with substance!
Mae had lived most of her childhood in church with family. After graduation she moved away from Jackson to a large city. Left behind boyfriend Liam and family, for a new life . She never felt close to God. As life changes she finds herself divorced, pregnant and lonely for family. When Hope is 10 months old she comes back to Jackson for a visit. Life changes with family and God back in your life. Wonderful book, well written , couldn't put it down.
